Job summary

Rivian is seeking an emerging to mid-level Technician to grow technical acumen while delivering an exceptional customer experience. Based at a local service center, you will support EV repairs, inspections, and field service with mentorship from senior technicians.

The role includes a Monday–Friday schedule with occasional Saturday rotations, 5pm–2am shift, and a 15% night differential. Travel to regional locations and remote support may be required as business needs evolve.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; preferred.
• 0–3 years hands-on automotive/technical experience.
• Basic EV/hybrid exposure is a plus.
• Willingness to travel to regional locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform or assist with vehicle diagnosis, repairs, installations, and inspections—at service centers, mobile route, or remote locations.
• Learn product line, EV framework, tools, and accessories under mentorship of senior technicians.
• Follow repair procedures safely and maintain quality.
• Road-test vehicles post-repair to verify quality and safety.
• Assist with parts operations: ordering, receiving, inventory tracking, and reporting.
• Maintain detailed technical notes for all repairs.
• Interact professionally with customers and partners at facilities or outreach events.
• Identify process improvements and participate in service campaigns.
