Job summary

Rivian Automotive is seeking a junior technician to support EV repairs, inspections, and field service operations. Based primarily at a local service center, you will work under the guidance of senior technicians to build your technical skills while delivering a top‑tier customer experience.

The role may include remote work, travel for mobile service, or plant support as needs evolve. The schedule is Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays, and a 15% pay differential applies to 6pm–6am

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited automotive repair school/program is highly preferred.
• 0-3 years hands-on experience in an automotive shop or technical environment; open to recent graduates.
• Basic exposure to EV/hybrid frameworks or startup environments is a plus.
• Must be 21 years old and have a valid driver’s license with a clean record.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle service & repair: diagnose, repair, install and inspect at service center, mobile route, or remote location.
• Technical guidance: learn product line, EV framework, tools, and accessories under mentorship.
• Procedures & safety: follow repair procedures efficiently without compromising quality or safety.
• Quality assurance: conduct road tests post‑repair to verify quality and safety.
• Parts & operations: assist with parts ordering, receiving, inventory tracking, and work orders/expenses.
• Documentation: maintain detailed notes for repairs for internal/external use.
• Customer interaction: communicate professionally with customers, families, and suppliers.
• Continuous improvement: identify process improvements and participate in campaigns or containment initiatives.
• Professional growth: engage in training and maintain high-quality work with minimal supervision.
