Job summary

Rivian is seeking an emerging to mid-level Technician to grow technically while delivering excellent customer service. You’ll support EV repairs, inspections, and field service under senior technicians, primarily at a service center with potential remote work or travel for mobile service.

The role emphasizes strong communication, adaptability, and a passion for innovation and adventure, with a 5pm–2am shift and a 15% night differential in New York.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited automotive repair program preferred.
• 0–3 years hands-on experience in auto shop or technical environment; open to recent grads.
• Basic exposure to EV/hybrid frameworks or startup environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, install, and inspect vehicles at service centers, mobile routes, or remote locations.
• Learn product line, EV framework, tools, and accessories under mentorship.
• Follow repair procedures with safety and quality in mind.
• Conduct road tests to verify repairs and safety.
• Assist with parts operations: ordering, receiving, inventory tracking, and expense reporting.
• Maintain detailed technical notes and documentation for repairs.
