Job summary

Rivian is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to support Rivian vehicle repairs across service centers, customer homes, and on mobile routes. The role requires collaboration, adaptability, and a commitment to safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

The position may be based in Southern California with potential travel to production sites or other locations as needed. Open to technicians at various seniorities with growth opportunities in a dynamic, startup-spirited company.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Proficient with hand tools and power tools.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (3–5 years).
• Ability to drive a non-commercial truck and trailer is preferred.
• 40-hour work week, may include weekends/holidays/shifts.
• Proficient with Windows or Mac computers.
• Strong organizational skills and eagerness to learn.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks.
• Read and speak fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, install, and inspect Rivian vehicles at service centers or in the field.
• Identify and explain Rivian product lines and EV components.
• Follow Rivian repair procedures with safety and quality in mind.
• Conduct road tests to verify repairs.
• Manage parts orders, receiving, shipping, and inventory.
