Job summary

Rivian is seeking an emerging to mid-level Technician to grow technical acumen while delivering an exceptional customer experience. You will support EV repairs, inspections, and field service operations, mentored by senior technicians, with primary duties at a local service center and potential remote work or travel to mobile or plant locations.

The role emphasizes learning, safety, and high-quality work, with a Mon–Fri schedule and a 5pm–2am shift, plus a 15% night pay differential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
• 21+ years old.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to drive a non-commercial truck and trailer preferred.
• 40-hour workweek with potential weekend shifts.
• Willingness to travel to regional locations as needed.
• Proficient with laptops/computers in Windows or Mac environments.
• Eagerness to learn, strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, install, and inspect vehicles at service centers or on mobile routes.
• Learn product line, EV framework, tools, and accessories under mentorship.
• Follow repair procedures with safety and quality in mind.
• Conduct road tests to verify repair quality and safety.
• Assist with parts operations, inventory tracking, and work orders/expenses.
• Maintain detailed repair notes for internal and external use.
• Interact professionally with customers, families, and partners.
• Identify areas for process improvement and participate in service campaigns.
• Pursue required training and grow technical skills over time.
