Job summary

Rivian Automotive seeks an emerging to mid-level Technician to grow technical acumen while delivering exceptional customer experiences. Based at a local service center, you may support mobile service, remote work, or plant operations as needed.

You will work under senior technicians and leadership, diagnosing, repairing, inspecting, and documenting work while maintaining safety, quality, and customer service standards. Flexibility for shifts and travel is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
• 21+ years old.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to drive a non-commercial truck and trailer preferred.
• Flexibility for travel to regional locations or production facilities.
• Proficient with laptops/computers in Windows or Mac environments, and work order systems.
• Eagerness to learn, strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail.
• Ability to perform physical tasks up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, install and inspect vehicles at service center, mobile route, or remote location.
• Learn product line, EV framework, tools and accessories under mentorship.
• Follow repair procedures and safety guidelines.
• Conduct road tests to verify repair quality and safety.
• Assist with parts operations including ordering, receiving, inventory tracking and expenses.
• Maintain detailed technical notes and documentation for repairs.
• Interact professionally with customers and suppliers at facilities or events.
• Identify process improvements and participate in service campaigns and containment initiatives.
• Engage in required training and maintain high-quality work with minimal supervision as experience grows.
