Job summary

Rivian seeks a Junior to Mid-Level Technician to support EV repairs, inspections and field service. You will work under experienced mentors, grow technical acumen, and deliver exceptional customer experiences at a local service center, with possible mobile or plant support as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum age of 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no suspensions or revocations within the past 3-5 years).
• Ability to drive a non-commercial truck and trailer is preferred.
• Availability for a standard 40-hour workweek, including potential shifts on weekends, holidays, early mornings, evenings, or overnights based on business needs.
• Flexibility for travel to regional locations or production facilities as needed.
• Proficient with laptops/computers in Windows or Mac environments, as well as work order management systems.
• Eagerness to learn, strong organizational skills, time management, and high attention to detail.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle Service & Repair: Diagnose, repair, install, and inspect vehicles at service centers, mobile routes, or remote locations.
• Technical Guidance & Learning: Learn EV framework, tools, and products under senior technicians.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct road tests post-repair to verify quality and safety.
• Parts & Operations Management: Assist with parts operations including ordering and inventory.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed repair notes for internal/external use.
• Customer Interaction: Maintain professionalism with customers and partners at service sites.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify process improvements and participate in training and campaigns.
