Job summary

Rivian Automotive in California seeks an emerging to mid-level Technician to grow technical acumen while delivering exceptional customer experience. You will work under senior technicians to support EV repairs, inspections, and field service, with potential remote, mobile, or plant-focused assignments as needed.

The role emphasizes learning the EV framework, quality repair, and professional communication in a fast-paced, adventure-driven environment.

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited automotive repair school/program preferred.
0–3 years hands-on experience in automotive shop or technical environment.
Basic exposure to EV / hybrid frameworks or startup environment a plus.
Proficient with laptops/computers in Windows or Mac and work order systems.

Responsibilities

Vehicle diagnosis, repairs, installations, and inspections at service center, mobile route, or remote location.
Learn product line, EV framework, tools, and accessories under mentorship.
Follow repair procedures, while maintaining safety and quality.
Perform road tests post-repair to verify safety and quality.
Assist with parts operations including ordering, receiving, inventory, and reporting.
Maintain detailed technical notes and documentation for repairs.
Interact with customers professionally at facilities or events.
Identify process improvements and participate in service campaigns.
Engage in required training and maintain high-quality work with limited supervision.
