Orange EV is seeking a Chicago-based Electric Vehicle Field Service Technician. You will diagnose, repair, and analyze remote data for local Orange EV fleets and report on vehicle utilization.

The role requires collaboration with customers and third-party providers, field upgrades, and travel for training. The position emphasizes service planning, record-keeping, and delivering operator and maintenance training while supporting sales and business development efforts.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in automotive or electrical industries.
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, TEAMS).
• Ability to lift up to 75-100 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicle systems.
• Represent Orange EV in a professional manner.
• Use Remote Monitoring System to plan service and identify issues.
• Record all service activity accurately in the service system.
• Communicate with customers and third-party providers for efficient repairs.
• Coordinate with site manager and electrician on charging infrastructure.
• Evaluate vehicle conditions and prepare detailed reports.
• Support customers and third-party technicians with repairs.
• Provide a secure location for tools, parts, and equipment.
• Deliver training and support for operators, maintenance, and sales.
• Travel as required for training and to meet service goals.
