Job summary

Orange EV is seeking a Field Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and support our electric vehicle fleet in the San Antonio region. The role involves evaluating remote monitoring data, documenting service activities, and coordinating with customers and third-party providers to ensure optimal performance.

Responsibilities include on-site repairs, training operators, and facilitating logistics with site managers and electricians for charging infrastructure.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma; related technical degree preferred.
• Travel as required for initial training and to ensure Service Team goals and customer needs are met.
• 1 or more years’ experience in the automotive or electrical industries.
• Intermediate to Advanced MS Office experience (Excel, Word, TEAMS).
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing superior customer service.
• Analytical approach to problem solving.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; occasionally 75–100 lbs.
• Ability to squat, sit, lie under, or climb on vehicle.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to follow supervisor instructions and communicate clearly in writing.

Responsibilities

• Understand the vehicle at a systemic level to diagnose and repair.
• Represent Orange EV professionally.
• Use Remote Monitoring System to plan service and prioritize needs.
• Record all service activity in the service-record system.
• Communicate with customers and third-party providers for diagnosis or escalation.
• Coordinate with site manager and electrician on charging infrastructure logistics.
• Evaluate conversion vehicle candidates and report conditions.
• Support customer technicians and third-party providers with repairs.
• Provide a secure location for tools and parts.
• Deliver Operator and Maintenance training and support sales activities.
• Travel as required for training and regional goals.
