Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Technician, Factory Software & Diagnostics Engineer to diagnose and repair our vehicles at the Normal, IL facility. In this hands‑on role you will work with Rivian vehicles and collaborate across electrical, manufacturing and software teams to drive rapid problem solving and production support.

Responsibilities include diagnosing software issues, developing tests, documenting findings, and supporting the production line, including weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Technical/vocational degree or equivalent experience required.
• LV Rivian Certification preferred.
• 3+ years diagnosing software issues on vehicles or equivalent.
• Experience with CAN and LIN data review and command execution.
• Electrical/hybrid vehicle experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose a wide variety of software-related issues across vehicle systems to determine root cause.
• Develop, execute, and train team members on software processes and tests.
• Document findings and support countermeasure implementation across teams.
• Support production line during day and weekends.
• Collaborate with Electrical, Manufacturing, and Software teams to drive solutions.
