Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Sr. Electrical/Electronics Systems Integration Engineer for the Normal, Illinois plant.

You will lead on-site investigations into electrical system concerns, partnering with manufacturing and software teams to identify root causes for production problems and to build and lead corrective actions during launches. The role requires deep expertise in electrical, software, and mechanical systems, ability to work cross-functionally, and experience with vehicle diagnostics tools to

Qualifications

BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent.
Able to collaborate with line workers and other engineers.
Experience on major vehicle launches.
5+ years of experience in product development or volume manufacturing.
Curiosity to dive into electrical, software, and mechanical issues.
Ability to use vehicle diagnostics tools to aid in debug.
Experience in CAN, CAN FD, LIN and Ethernet protocols.
Demonstrated strong problem-solving toolbox.
Strong knowledge reading electrical schematics and wiring repairs.

Responsibilities

Lead Vehicle Electrical Hardware/Software Issues at our Normal, IL Plant and maintain manufacturing output.
Work cross-functionally with other teams on root cause analysis.
Collaborate with offsite engineering for corrective actions.
Work with data analysis for test improvements.
Drive issues back to owner for assessment and corrective action.
