Job summary

Pearce Services seeks an EV Charging Field Service Electrician to maintain and repair EV charging stations across a region. You will perform electrical and mechanical maintenance, collect field data, and complete work orders in the CMMS.

The role requires field work under varying conditions and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Typical duties include testing, troubleshooting, and upgrading Level 2 to DC fast chargers, with travel between sites and a 10-hour workday.

Qualifications

• Must hold a state Electrical Certification and Journeyman level license.
• Minimum 2+ years servicing electrical power equipment in commercial/utility settings.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills; knowledge of EV chargers a plus.
• Experience using CMMS to manage work orders and reports.
• Excellent communication in English; ability to work independently in the field.

Responsibilities

• Perform OEM testing, troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades on EV chargers.
• Conduct insulation, thermal, torque tests and performance evaluations.
• Identify and fix ground faults; document field reports in CMMS.
• Coordinate with Planning/Scheduling to adhere to maintenance plans.
• Review manuals/drawings to ensure proper servicing of equipment.
