Job summary

CARTO is seeking an EU-based Business Development Manager to drive the sovereignty-focused market across Europe and adjacent regions. You will hunt net-new logos, collaborate with cloud platform partners, and navigate complex public-sector procurement processes.

This role emphasizes multi-country EU selling, strategic partnerships, and a MEDDICC approach to close high-impact deals in a remote European environment, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in quota-carrying SaaS/data/analytics sales.
• Experience developing new markets or segments; hunter mentality.
• Fluent English; additional EU language preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop the European sovereignty market for CARTO.
• Own full sales cycle from prospecting to close.
• Build partner-led pipeline with cloud data platforms (Google Cloud, AWS, Snowflake, Databricks).
• Navigate procurement, tenders, and framework agreements in public-sector markets.
• Travel across Europe and the Middle East for customer and partner events.
