Job summary

BELFOR Franchise Group is seeking an Estimator to develop and manage estimates for residential, commercial, and industrial projects using Xactimate, meeting with clients and guiding costs through completion.

The role emphasizes client liaison with adjusters, budget adherence, and ongoing BELFOR University training to progress toward Estimator levels 2 or 3. On-site collaboration with teams and a strong emphasis on safety are expected.

Qualifications

• English literacy and fluency
• Understanding of MSDS Data sheets, and applicability to jobs
• Must use the BELFOR Estimate Format Standards for Xactimate estimates, proposals, etc
• Extensive Customer Service experience
• Advanced Microsoft offices skills, experience with Xactimate
• Professional demeanor and appearance, excellent telephone skills.
• Ability to work well with others, maintain professional interaction with co-workers and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain local area clientele to refer losses (insurance adjusters, community businesses, schools, municipalities).
• Create accurate floor plans in Xactimate Sketch
• Have working knowledge of applicable building codes
• Create and adhere to budgets and address overages as needed
• Use BELFOR naming convention for estimates, revised estimates, proposals, change orders
• Demonstrate knowledge of local building codes
• Maintain a construction schedule and coordinate with trades to complete work on time
• Demonstrate proficiency with decontamination, mitigation, containment, ventilation, contents, deodorization
• Perform investigative and controlled demolition, structure cleaning and deodorization
• Participate in BELFOR University training for Xactimate certifications
• Independently manage own work
• Maintain vehicle safety and cleanliness
• Complete accident, injury & incident reporting forms timely
• Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Assist in development and improvement efforts to position BELFOR USA Group as World Class
• Comply with company policies and standards
