Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Kapolei, HI seeks an Estimator in Training to learn diagnosing and preparing vehicle repair estimates under guidance, in line with insurance partner and company guidelines. You will communicate value, aiming for a high sales closure and smooth customer experience.

Responsibilities include mapping damage, documenting photos, updating customers, and assisting with insurance adjusters. Prior customer service experience is helpful.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 16 I-CAR units within 12 months.
• Prefer 4–6 years related work experience in auto collision industry.
• Photo-imaging software experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Greet customer at repair drop off and build rapport.
• Map damage with customer and identify WOW opportunities.
• Handle repair mapping and initial photographs.
• Upload photos and notes to CCC One and record arrival times.
• Notify production and place vehicle in production queue.
• Verify estimate during teardown and finalize using Repair Planning Template.
• Work with repair team to ensure windshield notations are correct.
• Puts together final parts list and sets promise date.
• Call customer to review estimate and promise date.
• Update customer regularly per management standards.
• Participate in production meetings and follow up with customers.
