Job summary
O'Hara's Son Roofing is seeking an Estimator in Chicago, IL to accurately assess costs for commercial roofing projects, including New Construction, Re-Roof, and Service work. You will interpret plans, perform take-offs, and develop reliable estimates to support profitability.
The role requires a Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering and proven estimating experience, with familiarity using estimating software.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience estimating commercial roofing projects.
- Experience with New Construction projects in excess of 150,000 sq ft is a plus.
- Proficiency with estimating software and tools.
Responsibilities
- Review project plans and specifications to understand project requirements.
- Perform quantity take-offs for materials, labor, and equipment.
- Develop accurate and detailed cost estimates using estimating software.
- Collaborate with project management and suppliers to gather pricing.
- Analyze project costs and propose cost optimization strategies.
