Job summary

TalentSphere seeks a Senior Commercial Roofing Estimator for its West Chicago team. The role focuses on accurate takeoffs, bid estimates, and collaborating with project managers on complex roofing projects across the Chicago area.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in commercial roofing estimating, deep knowledge of low-slope systems, and comfort coordinating with suppliers, subs, and owners. Relocation is available for the right fit.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial roofing estimating experience.
• Strong knowledge of low-slope commercial roofing systems.
• Experience with TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen and/or BUR.
• Ability to read plans, specifications, and scopes.
• Experience with commercial, industrial, institutional, or government projects.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.
• A collaborative approach and willingness to work closely with a smaller team.
• Union roofing experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing plans, specifications, and bid documents.
• Completing takeoffs and preparing accurate estimates.
• Estimating TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, BUR, and other systems.
• Attending site visits and pre-bid meetings.
• Working with suppliers and subcontractors on pricing.
• Identifying project requirements, logistics, and potential challenges.
• Working closely with project managers, field operations, and ownership.
• Supporting project handoff once work is awarded.
