Job summary

Illinois Roofing is seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Estimator for our Lisle (IL) shop. The role will prepare bids and cost estimates for commercial roofing projects, review plans and specs, calculate labor and material costs, and work with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams throughout the bidding process.

Responsibilities include preparing estimates and proposals, performing takeoffs, coordinating with stakeholders, and supporting project management as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial roofing estimating experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform takeoffs.
• Experience with estimating software (Edge preferred).
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Knowledge of roofing systems and manufacturer requirements.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Comfortable climbing ladders and accessing rooftops.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare roofing estimates, bids, and proposals.
• Review blueprints, specifications, and project documents.
• Perform material takeoffs and obtain vendor pricing.
• Track and manage bids from pre-bid through project handoff.
• Coordinate with customers, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Create submittals, product documentation, and related project paperwork.
• Support project management and operations teams as needed.
