Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Chicago, IL is seeking an Estimator in Training who will learn to diagnose and prepare vehicle repair estimates consistent with insurance partner and company guidelines. You will greet customers, map damage, photograph the vehicle, upload notes, verify teardown estimates, and coordinate with the production team to ensure accurate parts lists and timely promises.

This role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and reliability to support a high-volume

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Computer literate; knowledge of Microsoft products preferred.
• Good decision-making ability and sound judgment.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED; 16 I-CAR units within 12 months

Responsibilities

• Greet customers at repair drop-off and build rapport.
• Map damage with customer and take initial photographs.
• Upload photos and notes to CCC One; manage arrival times.
• Verify estimate during teardown and finalize using Repair Planning Template.
• Assist insurance adjusters with damage reports and reschedule customers as needed.
