Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Redding, CA is seeking an Estimator in Training. You will learn to diagnose and prepare estimates for repair per insurance guidelines, while communicating value to customers and driving a high sales closure rate.

The role emphasizes collaboration with the Estimator and production teams, accurate documentation, and timely updates to customers throughout the repair process.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Within 12 months, complete 16 I-CAR units.
• 4–6 years related work experience preferred.
• Photo-imaging software experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greets customer at repair drop off and builds rapport.
• Maps damage with customer and identifies WOW opportunities.
• Verifies estimate during teardown and updates production on progress.
• Creates final parts list and coordinates with repair team.
• Sets promise date and reviews estimate with customer.
• Maintains regular customer communication per management standards.
