Job summary

PerLectric, Inc. is seeking an electrical estimator to provide accurate project estimates for medium-size electrical construction projects. You will perform takeoffs, coordinate with vendors, and contribute to bid packages.

The role requires knowledge of electrical construction, two years of estimator experience, and strong analytical and communication skills. On-site work in the Fairfax, VA area is expected.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of electrical construction and theory.
• Two-years' experience as electrical estimator.

Responsibilities

• Perform takeoffs and counts of drawings.
• Solicitation and review of vendor and subcontractor quotes.
• Formulate top sheet.
• Collect necessary pre-bid information including scope or project and schedule with general contractor.
• Determine project type and estimating parameters: labor rate, permit costs, material mark-up and tax adjustments for project location.
• Draft estimates on pricing sheets and collect other necessary proposal documents, such as scope letters.
• Assist Chief Estimator in final presentation of bid and sending out proposals.
• Participate in planning or bid transition meetings as required.
• Follow post bid closeout procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Provide estimates for assigned project(s) of medium size and complexity either directly or through subordinate personnel.

Minimum Qualifications

• A working knowledge of electrical construction and theory at a level normally acquired through the completion of an electrical training program, two-year technical or business degree or related field; or
• Two-years' experience as electrical estimator.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in the electrical construction industry.

• Demonstrated conceptual estimates and financial analytical skills.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills.

Other Requirements

• Required to maintain a valid driver’s license depending on the project
