Job summary

OEG, Inc. in Portland, OR is seeking an Electrical Estimator responsible for estimating electrical projects from bid preparation through closeout documentation. The role requires knowledge of electrical construction, at least 5 years of estimator experience, and strong communication and analytical skills.

Travel up to 10% and site visits are expected. You will prepare quantity takeoffs, review pricing, solicit vendor quotes, and draft proposal documents as part of a collaborative estimating

• Solicit and review vendor and subcontractor quotations.
• Review current material pricing levels.
• Review and estimate addenda as required.
• Visit site and/or attend site walk meetings.
• Review bid/construction schedule.
• Draft and submit proposal documents.
• Follow post bid closeout procedures.
• Attend weekly estimating team meetings.
• Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY

Estimators provide technical estimation of electrical projects from bid preparation through job close out documentation to the customer.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• A working knowledge of electrical construction and theory at a level normally acquired through completion of an electrical training program, two‑year technical or business degree or related field; and
• 5 years' experience as an electrical estimator.

• Excellent oral and written communications skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
