Job summary

ESI Electrical Contractors, Inc. is seeking an Estimator with a minimum of two years of technical or business education and estimating experience to prepare and submit bids for electrical projects.

The role requires understanding electrical construction theory, strong mathematical and analytical skills, and the ability to communicate clearly with clients, vendors, and project teams. Site visits may be required as part of bid development.

Qualifications

• Completion of an electrical training program.
• Two years technical or business degree or equivalent combinations of education and estimating experience.
• Five years experience as electrical estimator preferable.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical estimation of electrical projects from bid preparation through job close out documentation to the customer.
• Quantity takeoff entry into estimating software
• Solicitation and review vendor and subcontractor quotations
• review and estimate addenda as required
• Visit site and/or attend site walk meeting.
• Initial review of contract if included in bid documents
• Draft and submit proposal documents
• Follow post bid closeout procedures
• Attend weekly estimating team meetings
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY

• Two years technical or business degree or equivalent combinations of education and estimating experience
• Five years experience as electrical estimator preferable

KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

Requires the knowledge of electrical construction theory.

Excellent human relations skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.

• Demonstrate conceptual estimates and financial analytical skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
