Job summary

ESI, Inc in Lima, Ohio is seeking an Estimator to facilitate project takeoff and submit estimates for bids. The role requires expertise in electrical construction and strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical estimation of electrical projects from bid preparation through job close out documentation to the customer.
• Quantity takeoff entry into estimating software.
• Solicitation and review vendor and subcontractor quotations.
• Visit site and/or attend site walk meeting.

Job Summary

Minimum Qualifications

• Completion of an electrical training program
• Two years technical or business degree or equivalent combinations of education and estimating experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Electrical construction experience or construction management degree
• Estimator/Project supervisor experience
• Five years' experience as electrical estimator preferred

• Demonstrate conceptual estimates and financial analytical skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Job Responsibilities

• Provide technical estimation of electrical projects from bid preparation through job close out documentation to the customer
• Quantity takeoff entry into estimating software
• Solicitation and review vendor and subcontractor quotations
• Review current material price levels
• Review and estimate addenda as required
• Visit site and/or attend site walk meeting
• Review big/construction schedule
• Initial review of contract if included in bid documents
• Draft and submit proposal documents
• Follow post bid closeout procedures
• Attend weekly estimating team meetings
• Perform additional duties as assigned
