Job summary

Everus Construction Group in Merrifield, VA seeks an Electrical Estimator to provide estimates for medium-sized projects. The role involves takeoffs, bid preparation, and coordinating with general contractors and subcontractors.

The successful candidate will have an electrical training background and at least two years of estimator experience, with preference for experience in the electrical construction industry.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of electrical construction and theory from an electrical training program or related degree.
• Two years' experience as an electrical estimator.
• Experience in the electrical construction industry (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform takeoff and counts of drawings.
• Solicit and review vendor and subcontractor quotes.
• Formulate top sheet and pricing.
• Collect pre-bid information including scope and schedule discussions with GC and bidders.
• Determine estimating parameters: labor, permits, materials, tax by location.
• Draft estimates on pricing sheets with scope letters.
• Assist Chief Estimator in final bid presentation and proposals.

Job Summary

Provide estimates for assigned project(s) of medium size and complexity either directly or through subordinate personnel.

Minimum Qualifications

• A working knowledge of electrical construction and theory at a level normally acquired through the completion of an electrical training program, two-year technical or business degree or related field; or
• Two-years\' experience as electrical estimator.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the electrical construction industry.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform takeoff and counts of drawings.

• Collect necessary pre-bid information including discussion of scope or project and schedule with general contractor and competitors bidding the project.
• Determine project type and estimating parameters required: labor rate, permit costs, material mark-up and tax adjustments for project location.
• Draft estimates on pricing sheets and collect other necessary proposal documents, such as scope letters.
• Assist Chief Estimator in final presentation of bid and sending out proposals.
• Participate in planning or bid transition meetings as required.
• Follow post bid closeout procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Other Requirements

• Required to maintain a valid driver\'s license depending on the project.
