Job summary

OEG, Inc. in Redmond, WA seeks an electrical estimator to provide technical estimation of electrical projects from bid preparation through final documentation for customers.

Responsibilities include quantity takeoffs, entering estimates into estimating software, reviewing vendor quotations, and visiting sites as needed to align pricing with current material costs. Knowledge of electrical construction and strong communication are required.

JOB SUMMARY

Estimators provide technical estimation of electrical projects from bid preparation through job close out documentation to the customer.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• A working knowledge of electrical construction and theory at a level normally acquired through completion of an electrical training program, two-year technical or business degree or related field; and
• 5 years' experience as an electrical estimator.

KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• Excellent human relations skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Demonstrated conceptual estimates and financial analytical skills.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Quantity takeoff entry into estimating software.
• Solicitation and review vendor and subcontractor quotations.
• Review current material pricing levels.
• Review and estimate addenda as required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Construction management degree.
• Experience in the construction industry.
