Job summary

Core & Main is seeking an Estimating Manager to lead the Critical Infrastructure Group's estimating operations nationwide. You will oversee daily activities, ensure accurate material takeoffs, and drive workload balance across regional teams and projects.

The role partners with sales, pre-bid, and engineering to shape strategic bids for water, wastewater, and fire protection infrastructure, promoting consistency and design‑build engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
• 5-8 years prior experience in bid preparation, sales or construction.
• Strong computer skills and knowledge of estimating tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily estimating operations for all project types and complexity levels.
• Ensure accurate, timely material takeoffs and workload distribution across regions.
• Lead, coach, and develop the estimating team from junior to lead estimators.
• Collaborate with regional sales, engineering, and Pre‑Bid teams on strategic bids and design‑build efforts.
• Develop and implement quality control processes to improve takeoff accuracy.
