Job summary

JE Dunn is seeking an Estimator for the Advanced Facilities Group to perform quantity surveying, read project specs, and support subcontractor pricing for large industrial and data center projects. You’ll collaborate with the project team to maintain audit trails and ensure accurate estimates from start to finish.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering or has equivalent relevant experience, and is willing to travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field (Preferred).
• Equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds.
• May require periods of overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Performs quantity survey of materials shown on project plans.
• Reads and outlines project specifications.
• Maintains an audit trail of the quantity survey from estimate to estimate.
• Supports vendor/subcontractor pricing/bid solicitation and coordination.
• Supports the distribution of plans and specifications to vendors/subcontractors.
• Works collaboratively and creates relationships with project team members, subcontractors, vendors and clients.
• Gains field operational exposure through onsite project support, as opportunities exist.
