Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer to support the Advanced Facilities team on large Industrial & Manufacturing, Data Center, and Semiconductor projects. You will work on-site with the project team, assist with safety/quality plans, QA/QC, and documentation, while growing your skills in estimating, procurement, and reporting.

The role emphasizes collaboration with foremen, subcontractors, and field personnel, learning Lean approaches, and participating in project

Qualifications

• Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner.
• Communication skills, verbal and written
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Knowledge of organizational structure and available resources
• Knowledge of Lean process and philosophy
• Knowledge of required construction technology
• Ability to apply fundamentals of the means and methods of construction management
• Knowledge of self-perform and labor productivity
• Ability to assess and optimize project productivity
• Knowledge of specific trades and scopes of work
• Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally

Responsibilities

• Learn and actively participate in safety and quality plans and culture.
• Participate with project QA/QC planning for quality of tasks.
• Assist in estimating and change management, including quantity take-off and subcontractor proposals.
• Work on site with the project team to monitor crew size, self-perform hours, materials, quantity and equipment.
• Participate in punch lists, inspections, safety reviews, quality reviews, and documentation.
• Post drawings and specifications with latest information.
• Organize and participate in project meetings and disseminate documents.
• Prepare reports like daily/weekly progress, manpower, schedules, and equipment tracking.
