Job summary

JE Dunn Construction seeks an entry-level Estimator to support material quantity surveys and bid coordination for Advanced Facilities projects in Kansas City. You will read project plans and specifications, maintain audit trails, and collaborate with vendors, subcontractors, and the project team.

The role emphasizes learning estimating software, gaining field exposure, and developing proficiency in construction technology within a strong, diverse team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred.
• Equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Performs quantity survey of materials shown on project plans.
• Reads and outlines project specifications.
• Maintains an audit trail of the quantity survey from estimate to estimate.
• Supports vendor/subcontractor pricing/bid solicitation and coordination.
• Supports the distribution of plans and specifications to vendors/subcontractors.
• Works collaboratively and creates relationships with a variety of stakeholders, such as project team members, subcontractors, vendors and clients.
• Gains self-perform estimating experience.
• Gains field operational exposure through onsite project support, as opportunities exist.
