Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking an ESSP Electrical Engineer for our Albuquerque, NM or Las Vegas, NV offices.

Join the ESSP team and contribute to projects spanning protection, planning, grounding, and communications for conventional and renewable generation facilities. The role involves performing electrical studies, SCADA, and system protection tasks, with opportunities to travel to project sites for testing and commissioning.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in electrical/computer engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of design or device configuration experience in electrical disciplines.
• Solid understanding of power systems, protective relaying, and permitting processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical studies, SCADA, and protection analyses.
• Develop protection schemes and relay settings; coordinate with SCADA.
• Conduct power system planning studies and transient/safety analysis as needed.
• Prepare technical reports with findings and conclusions; document work.
• Assist field/site tasks, permits, and project coordination.
