Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Test Equipment Chief Engineer for the ESSM program. The TE Chief Engineer leads TE activities across functions, manages backlog over $100M, and guides about 50 engineers with travel required at 10–20%.

You will chair Engineering Review Boards, provide technical leadership for production and sustainment, and influence solutions balancing customer needs with business impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of experience.
• Experience managing resources with multi-million-dollar annual budgets.
• Experience leading technical teams in support of production and US Government customer interface.
• Experience in Test System Design, Test Hardware or Test Software development across disciplines.
• Travel 10-20%
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Chair Engineering Review, Configuration Control and Failure Review Boards.
• Provide technical leadership of Production and Sustainment engineering to resolve issues.
• Influence and decision making for balanced technical solutions with financial impact.
• Establish and reinforce the program’s technical structure, risk posture, strategy, and execution plans.
• Communicate across functions and with customer TechRep.
