Job summary

RTX is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead Test Equipment development for the AMRAAM program in Tucson, AZ. This 100% onsite role requires an active DoD Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.

You will drive TE architecture, ensure technical integrity across the TE portfolio, mentor IPTLs, and coordinate with CPTs/IPTs to meet cost, schedule and performance goals. This role offers the opportunity to influence system design at the program level and collaborate with senior leadership to advance test

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience in Test System Design; Hardware or Software development spanning multiple disciplines (Power, RF, Analog, Digital).
• Experience with RLPM Gate Reviews and project/program execution.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and communicating with VP level.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required; U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Ensure technical integrity and engineering execution across the Test Equipment portfolio to meet cost, schedule, and technical requirements.
• Lead the Test Equipment architecture of the SSBU products.
• Influence system architecture and align Raytheon program leadership and IPTs.
• Provide guidance and technical leadership to IPTLs to ensure effective communications and program execution.
• Oversee TE program and process reviews, including design reviews and briefings to customers.
• Interface with Portfolio Senior Leadership to communicate TE status and mitigation needs.
• Oversee TE staffing and coordinate with SBU/SSBU Test Architects.
• Drive Test Optimization through TE projects.
