Job summary

Sprout is seeking a seasoned Business Systems Analyst to bridge operations and our SmartERP platform. You will own requirements from onsite teams, translate processes into clear designs, and configure business rules end-to-end.

A hands-on role with data mapping, reporting, and continual improvement. You will work closely with warehouse, logistics, and technical services teams, crafting detailed specs and ensuring reliable execution.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in a business systems analyst, applications analyst, or similar role bridging technology and operations.
• Hands-on experience with ERP or operational systems in aftermarket services, reverse logistics, repair and refurbishment, or manufacturing.
• A background in applications development — discuss data models, APIs, and system design credibly with engineers.
• SQL familiarity. Write queries against a relational database to investigate a data question.
• Demonstrated experience configuring business rules, workflow engines, or similar system behavior.
• Experience specifying system integrations and data mappings between platforms.
• Clear written communication. Output is documents others act on.
• Product owner or business analyst experience in an agile environment — user stories, backlog grooming, sprint planning.
• Experience with work management tooling (GitHub, Jira, monday.com)

Responsibilities

• Work directly with operations onsite to understand processes, constraints, and pain points and translate problems into solvable requirements.
• Develop clear business and functional requirements grounded in how current software actually works.
• Evaluate requirements for impact, completeness, and accuracy and identify conflicts with workflows and reporting.
• Implement and support configuration for routing, mapping, workflow rules, and related use cases.
• Specify integration requirements and data mappings between SmartERP and external systems.
• Analyze data using SQL and BI tools to validate changes and produce ad-hoc operational reporting.
• Support testing and rollout, coordinate user acceptance testing, triage defects, and ensure smooth adoption.
• Document workflows and system behavior for operations leaders.
