Job summary

VEG invites veterinarians to join the New ER Doctor (NERD) program, a six-month, immersive training that turns practicing vets into VEG ER doctors. You'll learn in a structured, mentored setting, with hands-on ER cases and state-of-the-art facilities.

During the program, you work 3-4 hospital shifts per week, gain CE, and receive competitive compensation; after completion, a guaranteed placement at a VEG hospital is offered.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD or equivalent required.
• 1+ years as a practicing veterinarian preferred.
• DEA registration in state of start date required.

Responsibilities

• Work with VEG doctors on real ER cases with mentorship.
• Deliver 3–4 hospital shifts per week (days, swings, nights).
• Learn client-centered communication and the VEG Way.
