VEG invites veterinarians to join the New ER Doctor (NERD) program, a six-month immersive pathway to become a VEG ER doctor. The program blends academic learning with clinical practice and personalized mentorship to build confidence in emergency medicine.

Participants work 3–4 hospital shifts per week (days, swings, nights) and engage in weekly case discussions, literature reviews, and hands-on training at state-of-the-art facilities. CE experiences are fully paid by VEG.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree and valid state license.
• Practicing veterinarian for 1+ years.
• Valid DEA registration in the starting state.

Responsabilités

• Work side-by-side with VEG doctors for hands-on ER cases under mentorship.
• Participate in weekly case discussions, literature reviews, and hands-on training.
• Learn best practices for client-centered communication and VEG standards.

Connaissances

DVM/VMD degree

Practicing veterinarian 1+ year

DEA registration

Ability to lift up to 25 kg
