Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) invites veterinarians to join its New ER Doctor (NERD) program, a six-month, immersive path to become a VEG ER doctor. You’ll train under experienced VEG clinicians, handle real ER cases, and gain advanced endoscopy and exotic-care exposure in open-concept hospitals.

The program emphasizes client-centered care, mentorship, and rapid skill development, with competitive compensation and comprehensive training paid for by VEG.

Qualifications

• DVM, VMD, or equivalent degree required.
• Be a practicing veterinarian for 1+ years.
• Active license to practice veterinary medicine and DEA registration.
• Ability to stand for prolonged hours and lift up to 25 kg.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Work side-by-side with VEG doctors, receiving mentorship and hands-on ER experience.
• Work 3-4 hospital shifts per week plus weekly case discussions and hands-on training.
• Learn best practices for client-centered communication the VEG Way.
