Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group is seeking a Nursing Trainer to lead growth and development across VEG hospitals. You will coach, mentor, and assess nurses and technicians, building confidence and advancing emergency medicine skills.

You’ll design training content, collaborate with nursing managers, and travel to regional VEG hospitals as needed to onboard new veterinarians and staff while upholding VEG’s culture and care standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• AVMA-accredited program strongly preferred for veterinary technicians.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leadership to identify training needs and teams for development.
• Assess assistants and credentialed technicians through observation and immersion.
• Develop and refine VEG training content (presentations, videos, simulations, assessments).
• Serve as the go-to training lead at your hospital and implement training programs.
• Balance on-floor mentoring with strategic development and cross-hospital collaboration.
