Job summary

Altus Community Healthcare is seeking an Emergency Room Tech to support physicians and nurses in the Emergency Center. The role focuses on patient care, phlebotomy, IV starts, EKGs, transport, and lab-related tasks to ensure efficient patient flow.

The position involves assisting with education, quality control, and equipment management while maintaining a clean, organized environment and accurate medical records. High school diploma and EMT-P experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years’ experience in an Emergency Room setting.
• 1-3 years’ experience as an Emergency Medical Technician EMT-P (or equivalent) required
• Current EMT or equivalent certification preferred, BLS proficiency

Responsibilities

• Document vital signs, perform phlebotomy and IV starts.
• Perform EKGs and transport patients to appropriate areas.
• Assist physicians and RNs with exams and procedures.
• Maintain clean patient care areas and restock supplies.
• Perform Point of Care Testing and basic laboratory duties.
• Greet patients on arrival and check them in professionally.
