Job summary

Altus Community Healthcare in Crosby, TX is seeking an Emergency Room Tech to support physicians and nurses in the Emergency Center. You will assist with patient care, perform phlebotomy, IV starts, EKGs, and transport patients while maintaining accurate documentation and supply management.

You will also handle point-of-care testing, maintain equipment, and ensure room readiness and safety consistent with hospital policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years ER experience or EMT-P certification preferred.
• Current EMT certification preferred and BLS.

Responsibilities

• Assists RNs and physicians with technical patient care and monitors vital signs.
• Performs phlebotomy, IV starts, EKGs, and specimen collection.
• Maintains clean, stocked patient care areas and equipment.
• Operates and calibrates laboratory equipment and performs POCT testing.
• Documents care/procedures in the medical record.
• Ensures safety and quality by following policies and procedures.
