Job summary

Altus Community Healthcare in Pearland, TX is seeking an Emergency Room Tech to support physicians and nurses in the Emergency Center. You will assist with patient care, transport, lab-related tasks, phlebotomy, EKGs, and equipment management to ensure safe, efficient care.

The role includes performing Point of Care testing, QC, maintaining logs, stocking supplies, and collaborating with RN and physicians. A HS diploma is required; EMT-P or EMT with BLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years in an Emergency Room setting or EMT-P experience required.
• Current EMT certification and BLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Document vital signs, draw labs, start IVs, monitor patients and transport as needed.
• Perform point-of-care testing and quality control procedures.
• Assist RNs and physicians with exams and procedures.
• Stock supplies and ensure clean, organized care areas.
• Maintain temperature and equipment logs; report malfunctions.
