Job summary

Altus Emergency in Texas is seeking an Emergency Room Tech to provide technical support for physicians and nurses in the ER. The role focuses on assisting with patient care, managing supplies, and maintaining equipment to support efficient operations.

Responsibilities include documenting vital signs, performing phlebotomy and IV starts, ECGs, transporting patients, and assisting with lab testing while ensuring compliance and patient safety; a HS diploma and ER/EMT-P experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years ER experience or EMT-P experience.
• EMT-P or equivalent certification preferred; BLS may be required.

Responsibilities

• Document vital signs and assist with procedures under supervision.
• Perform phlebotomy and IV starts as trained.
• Assist physicians with exams and diagnostic/therapeutic procedures.
• Operate and maintain lab equipment and perform point-of-care testing.
• Ensure patient care areas and equipment are clean and stocked.
• Greet patients, check in, and support triage workflow.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

1-3 years’ experience in an Emergency Room setting

1-3 years’ experience as an Emergency Medical Technician EMT-P (or equivalent) required
