UTMB Health seeks an ER Technician I for the Galveston ED, 9A-9P, part-time (24 hours/week).Provides intermediate technical assistance and supportive patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include EMT program or nursing education in progress, or active EMS certification, or military medic training, plus BLS. Performs vital signs, specimen collection, hygiene, and assists with procedures.

Qualificações

• Completion of EMT program or enrollment in nursing education with first semester including clinical concepts and health assessments.
• Active state EMS certification in good standing at date of hire or recognized military medic training.

Responsabilidades

• Take vital signs and document data.
• Perform and report Point of Care Testing.
• Assist with patient activities and hygiene.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Support the healthcare team during examinations and procedures.
• Maintain patient privacy and a clean, safe environment.
• Assist with isolation procedures and infection control as required.
• Communicate clearly with nurses and multidisciplinary team.
