Job summary

American Advanced Management, Inc. is seeking an Emergency Department Technician for a per diem role in Stockton, CA. Responsibilities include transporting patients, providing basic care, answering call bells, and assisting with non-nursing tasks in a busy ED.

The ideal candidate will have EMT training, BLS certification, and prior ED or hospital experience. Must be able to work in all patient care areas and follow safety protocols. This position is unionized.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certified EMT trainee or graduate.
• Previous ED or hospital experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from departments ensuring safety and comfort.
• Assist patients with ambulation and basic care.
• Answer call bells and document patient needs for nurses.
• Place patients on monitors and assist with oxygen management.
• Perform routine treatments and vitals; include EKGs.
• Prepare for discharge and assist with mobility and discharge instructions.
