Job summary

Palmdale Regional Medical Center seeks an ER Technician to assist in medical care under the supervision of a registered nurse. You will follow the physician's plan, address patient needs across age groups, and help maintain steady ED flow with skilled emergency care.

The role requires BLS, CPI within 30 days, and credentials such as EMT/CNA/MA or RN-educational progress, plus dysrhythmia certification within 6 months of hire. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• One year experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association
• CPI is required within 30 days of hire.
• CA EMT, CNA or Medical Assistant required –OR- Currently enrolled in RN program with successful completion of 2 semesters of clinical coursework.
• Basic dysrhythmia certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Administer patient care under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Follow the plan of care and manage patient needs by age and diagnosis.
• Perform direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Department to maintain smooth flow.
• Provide emergency care for patients from infancy to geriatric.
