Job summary

Palmdale Regional Medical Center is seeking an ER Technician to administer patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse in the Emergency Department. The role supports maintaining smooth patient flow and requires BLS certification, CPI within 30 days, and credentialing such as EMT, CNA, or Medical Assistant, or current RN progression.

Qualifications

• One year experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association
• CPI is required within 30 days of hire.
• CA EMT, CNA or Medical Assistant required –OR- Currently enrolled in RN program with successful completion of 2 semesters of clinical coursework.
• Basic dysrhythmia certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Director of Emergency Services and administer patient care under RN/physician direction.
• Follow the plan of care and maintain smooth patient flow in the Emergency Department.
• Provide age-appropriate care from infancy to geriatric under supervision.
