Job summary

Universal Health Services seeks an ER Technician to support patient care under supervision of a registered nurse in the Emergency Department. Responsibilities include following the care plan and addressing patient needs across age groups to ensure smooth ED flow.

Required certifications include BLS and CPI, plus EMT/CNA/Medical Assistant credentials or RN student status with clinical coursework. Additional dysrhythmia certification within 6 months is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association.
• Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) certification required within 90 days of hire.
• EMT, CNA or Medical Assistant required -OR- Currently enrolled in RN program with successful completion of 2 semesters of clinical coursework.
• Basic dysrhythmia certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Administer patient care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse or physician.
• Follow the plan of care and manage patient needs across age and clinical diagnosis.
• Maintain smooth patient flow in the Emergency Department with direct and indirect care duties.
