Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking an ER Technician to administer patient care under the direction of a registered nurse in the Emergency Department. You will follow the plan of care, adjusting for age and diagnosis, and perform a variety of direct and indirect duties to maintain smooth patient flow.

The role requires BLS, CPI within 90 days, EMT/CNA/MA or RN coursework, and dysrhythmia certification within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification issued by American Heart Association
• CPI certification required within 90 days of hire
• EMT, CNA or Medical Assistant required –OR– RN program with 2 semesters of clinical coursework
• Basic dysrhythmia certification or obtained within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Administer patient care to designated patients under the supervision of a registered nurse
• Follow the plan of care set by the RN/physician, considering patient age and clinical diagnosis
• Perform direct and indirect patient care duties in the Emergency Department to maintain smooth patient flow
• Provide Emergency Care expertise for patients from infancy to geriatric
