Job summary

Emerus seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department in a small-format hospital setting. The role focuses on assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating patient care for ER patients, with emphasis on age-specific and developmentally appropriate nursing interventions.

The PRN position requires strong documentation, adherence to infection control, and collaboration with physicians. Texas licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and 2+ years ER experience are required.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in Texas without sanctions.
• 2+ years ER or comparable experience.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; TNCC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-specific and developmentally appropriate nursing care in the ER.
• Maintain accurate, concise documentation in medical records.
• Follow physician orders in the delivery of nursing care and safety procedures.
• Perform admissions, discharges and transfer procedures as needed.
